A Dish for All Seasons is a cookbook that has me already planning out dishes based on fruit and vegetables that are within season and their growing patterns, as well as what would look and taste great in the Fall versus the Summer。 The cover artwork and photography is clean, showcases food in natural and bright colors and tells the reader exactly what they are going to read and dive into。 Right away, we learn the author, Pauline's motivation for writing this book and her backstory。 Between the A Dish for All Seasons is a cookbook that has me already planning out dishes based on fruit and vegetables that are within season and their growing patterns, as well as what would look and taste great in the Fall versus the Summer。 The cover artwork and photography is clean, showcases food in natural and bright colors and tells the reader exactly what they are going to read and dive into。 Right away, we learn the author, Pauline's motivation for writing this book and her backstory。 Between the neutral color palette for the theming, the well produced and edited photography, and the way the recipes are easy to understand and straight to the point, this is definitely a cookbook that many can use and enjoy。 Recipes such as Winter Waffles that include Tahini Cream (who would have thought to try that - delicious), different Bean Salads, Quesadillas and more。 The beautiful thing about the way these recipes are laid out is that there are different "grids" for each type of recipe and then a break down of it for each season which is brilliant and for someone who likes to plan, this is a great way to start。 It makes locating each seasonal item a breeze。 We'll be adapting this technique into our own recipe generation for our home。5 Stars。 Would recommend and will be adding a copy to our home collection。 Don't even get me started on the Upside Down Cakes as they look absolutely divine。 I've already laid out the ingredients to the Summer Cake to make this coming week。 Now, I'm off to create an Upside Down Cake that will make me feel like we've got everything going Rightside Up。 Thanks to the publisher, Chronicle Books, the author and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy to read and review。 Review will also be posted to my blog (www。kagoodsell。com/book-reviews), GoodReads, TikTok (@unearthingeco), as well as NetGalley reviews。 。。。more

(Note: I received an advanced reader copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley)What an absolute delight! This is a wonderful fresh take on season-based cookbooks。 I love the organization based upon general recipes followed up with several seasonal variations based heavily upon available produce。 Equally appreciated, if not more so, is the fact that besides the specific variations that Pauline provides, each standard recipe comes with a “grid” of other seasonal ingredients one could swap or add in, (Note: I received an advanced reader copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley)What an absolute delight! A Dish for All Seasons is a wonderful tool for learning how to create on-the-fly based on what is available in season。 This book is inspired by those who have mastered going to the farmer’s market to “see what looked good” and not be limited by the current selection。 There are 25 adaptable basic recipes with many options and organized by the four-season variations。 I love how all the colors pop on each page from the photos。 There are helpful guides all the way through as well as great bonus tips A Dish for All Seasons is a wonderful tool for learning how to create on-the-fly based on what is available in season。 This book is inspired by those who have mastered going to the farmer’s market to “see what looked good” and not be limited by the current selection。 There are 25 adaptable basic recipes with many options and organized by the four-season variations。 I love how all the colors pop on each page from the photos。 There are helpful guides all the way through as well as great bonus tips scattered in here and there。 Chapters are organized by breakfast, salads, appetizers and sides, mains, and sweets。 I personally love the creativity and guides to personalize your own dishes。 It is organized well and written in an easy to understand/follow format。 I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley。 All opinions expressed are solely my own, freely given。 。。。more

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。This is a great cook book! While there isn't a ton of recipes in this book, there's a lot of helpful information for cooking。 The book focuses on fun staple recipes - frittatas, salads, pastas, etc。 and has a recipe for each by season。 There's beautiful pictures of the recipes based on season at the start of each chapter。 The book has the base recipe and then different toppings, fillings, etc。 by each season。 There' I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。This is a great cook book! While there isn't a ton of recipes in this book, there's a lot of helpful information for cooking。 The book focuses on fun staple recipes - frittatas, salads, pastas, etc。 and has a recipe for each by season。 There's beautiful pictures of the recipes based on season at the start of each chapter。 The book has the base recipe and then different toppings, fillings, etc。 by each season。 There's a fun mix of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and desserts throughout the book。A great find that can help you eat more seasonably。 。。。more
